Environment
We’ve built a dynamic and co-evolving entrepreneurial ecosystem where communities of diverse visionaries create and capture new value through collaboration and sustainability. Participants are incentivized by shared interests, goals and values nurturing their ability to learn, adapt, and innovate together to achieve long-term success. As participants invest in the health of their shared ecosystem, it organically creates a symbiotic relationship, allowing all those invested to mutually benefit and go beyond the capacity of any single organization. Education
In a world where wisdom procures wealth, knowledge is power. 2020 Education offers members a deeper perspective on entrepreneurism by exploring the habits and practices of today’s successful startups, entrepreneurs and business leaders. The educational component focuses on providing cutting-edge resources as well as a series of advanced weekly workshops where members will learn how to foster innovative strategies, eliminate obstacles and become the best version of oneself to achieve business growth.
Expertise
Expertise is like a flashlight in the dark. When environment is fertile and education is plentiful, the final component is expertise. Mentors provide invaluable guidance and support, ensuring that innovation and performance remains a strategic priority while offering options for achieving desired goals and outcomes. One-on-one mentoring guides entrepreneurs through growing societal and organizational challenges providing intelligent strategies that fuel rapid growth.
Accelerator Requirements
Applicants must be driven and passionate demonstrating a unique concept or vision that address fundamental human, business or market needs.
Applicants should reside in the NYC area or be able to easily commute on a daily basis to downtown Manhattan workspace.
Applicants must participate in the program fully, including availability to work daily out of downtown workspace, attend weekly workshops, and adhere to accelerator policies, program, and schedule. Dedication and organization is key.
Participants are ultimately responsible for implementing workload and their own progress. We’ll do everything we can for you, except your work, that’s on you.
Program Details
MISSION
2020 Startups is designed to inspire and support entrepreneurial participants through the development of their startups, while providing subsidized resources through NYC programs and business organizations to ultimately empower new ways of looking at personal and professional growth.
ACCELERATOR
The Accelerator itself is the 90 day program for early stage Startups that includes on-site mentorship, business development workshops, top-tier speaker sessions, unprecedented marketing assistance and one-on-one meetings with accredited investors. In short, learn how to sell your product, pitch yourself, think like a visionary, build strategic partnerships and scale your business.
WORKSPACE
Choose the workspace that suits you best. We have two locations, one in NYC in LMHQ and the second in NJ at Bell Works. Participants have access to both spaces for conference rooms and events but will be based out of one location.
MARKETING LABORATORY
The Marketing Laboratory is truly unique. You’ll have your own marketing assistants helping you with your design and marketing projects. We’ll provide vision, strategy vetted resources and even help you outsource your projects. The Marketing Lab saves you time, money and headaches, by providing an on-site marketing department that strategically assists you every step of the way.
WORKSHOPS
You’ll attend intense weekly workshops with industry leaders conveniently located a few feet away from your desk. These thought-leaders have been widely recognized as experts in their fields. The weekly executive workshops will be conducted by carefully selected, nationally recognized, high-profile business experts and much-sought-after speakers who have been featured on New York Times, Huffington Post, Fox News, CNBC, Shark Tank, and so on. Having a private audience with much-sought-after speakers and high-profile business leaders is rare and highly valuable.
MENTORING
Participants are mentor-matched with distinguished experts in the field of each participant’s startup, who can offer invaluable firsthand guidance and support through one-on-one mentoring. In short, connect and learn from leading growth and marketing experts, publicists, technologists, legal advisors, serial entrepreneurs, and investors. What could be better?
EVENTS
As a program participant you'll have access to highly exclusive and high-level industry events such as high-tech road shows, investor summits, networking events with Fortune 500, educational panels, private cocktail events, - and the opportunity to be featured at Microsoft for our Startups Spotlight event.
PAYMENT
Through the generosity of our visionary partners and sponsors qualifying applicants are awarded a subsidized cost of $2,500 for the course of the 90 day program. The onetime payment covers the 3 month accelerator fee and does not require participants to share equity. A full onetime payment is made prior to the start date.
